Peter comes from an illustrous family. Born in 1972 he is the youngest son of Sir Hugh Stucley (6th Baronet of Affeton) and Lady Stucley (Angela Caroline Toller) of Hartland Abbey in Devon. His elder brother is George Dennis Bampfylde Stucley, the heir apparent, and he has two sisters Lucinda and Charlotte Stucley. Peter is also the Great grandson of George Wentworth Warwick Bampfylde, 4th Baronet of Affeton and 1st Baron Poltimore (1786-1858). You can look at the family tree here.

Peter studied at the University of Newcastle-Upon-Tyne - Geography (FRGS) from 1991 to 1994. For a short time he worked for Lycetts Insurance Brokers, Newcastle in 1995 before attending the Royal Military Academy Sandhurst 1996. Afterwards, he became an army officer of the Household Cavalry Regiment between 1997 - 2000. (Peter's father Sir Hugh Stucley was a Lieutenant in the same regiment in 1966 (London Gazette November 1966).
From 2003 to 2005 Peter worked and studied for Surveyor qualifications at Holtom & Thomas Chartered Surveyors. He then joined Hugh Thomas Chartered Surveyors 2005 - 2009 where he attained MRICS status in 2007. He is currently a contracted surveyor at the Elms Estate Office as part of the Whole Farm and Estate Management team.

When I first met Peter on his tractor he was working on the family estate, for which he is well qualified to do. He runs a business as a Management consultant of real estate on a fee or contract basis.
Peter was married on 13 July, 2002, at Wiston, West Sussex, to Miss Susanna Esmeralda Prior, younger daughter of the Rev. David & Mrs Prior, of Wiston. (Source: Daily Telegraph 15 July, 2002).
